ASPESI x NUGNES | “Here is the Sea”


ASPESI and Nugnes tell the story of the sea in Trani through the faces, stories, and daily lives of those who experience it every day. A project that celebrates simple, authentic beauty, where clothing becomes a natural part of people’s stories and the memory of these places.

TRANI: THE HEART OF THE PROJECT


The project was unveiled on September 17 at Palazzo Pugliese in Trani, featuring a photography exhibition by Piero Percoco, the presentation of the capsule collection, and a display inspired by the imagery of the sea. “Here is the Sea” stems from the collaboration between ASPESI and Nugnes, an internationally recognized leader in Italian retail, united by a shared sensitivity toward memory, people, and a beauty that is simple, immediate, and accessible. A values-driven project that connects the local area with visual culture, telling the stories of people and their relationship with the clothes that accompany them over time.

THE DOCUMENTARY: A STORY FROM THE SEA


For this project, photographer Piero Percoco explored the coast and harbor of Trani, meeting fishermen and local residents and capturing them in their daily lives. His images depict a way of life connected to the sea—made up of gestures, people, and places—in a spontaneous narrative in which ASPESI fits in naturally without overshadowing reality.

THE 13PIÙ “HERE IS THE SEA”


At the heart of the project is the 13PIÙ shirt. One of ASPESI’s iconic styles, it has been reimagined for this collaboration as a special edition. Crafted in a waterproof version, the shirt conceals a special detail inside: a marine tattoo, inspired by the imagery of the sea and the connection to Trani. A garment designed to be lived in, worn over time, and to carry with it the memory of this project.
